Care Aide Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Aide to join our team at The Waterford, a retirement living residence in Tsawwassen. As a Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing daily care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Set and serve meals, and clear tables in the dining area.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and body mechanics.
  • Observe and report any changes in a resident's physical or cognitive state to the nurse on duty.
  • Participate in social and activity programs, including daily exercise and outings.
  • Clean and maintain resident areas, supply and storage areas, and report any equipment issues.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Residential Care Aide Certificate from a reputable school.
  • Minimum 2 years of residential care home experience.
  • Registered with the BC Care Aide Registry.
  • Food Safe Certificate.
