Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled clothing alterers or seamsters to modify pants according to specific customer requirements. The Alterations Specialist will leverage their expertise in textiles, sewing techniques, fashion trends, and market knowledge to provide tailored alterations for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize industrial sewing machines to hem pants
• Remove excess threads with precision
• Measure, cut, and sew hems in accordance with seams, edges, or markings on pants
• Adjust hemlines to accommodate individual customer preferences
• Demonstrate proficiency with various sewing machines, including lock stitch, blind stitch, and serge machines

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of six (6) months of prior sewing or fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring environment
• Ability to meet specified productivity standards
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in English required
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that aligns with business needs, including evenings and weekends
