About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project supplier and contractor relationships, identifying potential subtrades and suppliers, and negotiating contracts to optimize financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project supplier and contractor relationships to optimize financial and operational performance.
- Identify potential subtrades and suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Prepare tender documents for procurement of subcontractors/suppliers, including terms and conditions of contract, construction methodologies, and pricing requirements.
- Develop and maintain procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
- Monitor supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
- Negotiate prices and conditions with subcontractors and vendors.
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly.
- Develop and prepare reports for managing staff to provide an update on the procurement process.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in procurement or quantity surveying, preferably in C&I construction.
- MUST be able to obtain a Government of Canada Secret level clearance as per project contractual requirements.
- Experience, familiarity, and existing relationship with major local suppliers across Canada would be an asset.
- Practical experience of procurement processes, methods, practices, contract administration, and accounting and scheduling principles.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management.
- Availability to travel to monitor supplier's performance, production, and schedules as needed.

What We Offer
The expected salary range for this opportunity is $110,000 - $140,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program.
