About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Painter and Decorator to join our team at GS WORLD BUILDERS. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Paint Mixing and Application: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Wallcovering Installation: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Customer Service: Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Health and Safety: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, and plan projects to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
