Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Fire Suppression Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining vehicle fire suppression systems and other types of Fire & Life Safety Equipment at various customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct life safety inspections and audits, providing value-added suggestions for follow-up and maintenance
  • Perform site-specific training for owners and end users
  • Inspect products to determine the requirement for repair
  • Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power, or specially designed tools
  • Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Complete and submit work orders accurately and on time
  • May calibrate products using hand tools
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with fire suppression systems and other mechanical/electrical equipment
  • Previous manufacturer certification for vehicle fire suppression systems is an asset
  • A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Prior customer service experience and great communication skills
  • Able to work with technology and mobile devices
  • Punctual, attention to detail, and a great attitude
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Physically able to work in restricted workspaces, including using ladders and walkways on large equipment
  • Able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
  • Must be able to travel for overnight and extended periods
  • Able to work in multiple locations as required
