Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide assurance and non-assurance engagements for a diverse clientele.
- Lead consulting projects and identify opportunities for enhanced client service.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements.
- Complete corporate and personal income tax filings.
- Identify and resolve any issues arising during engagements.
- Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with clients.
- Support ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Engage in business development activities to expand our client base.
- Proactively communicate with clients to strengthen working relationships.
- Respond effectively to inquiries and keep the team informed of potential challenges.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Business.
- Completion of the CFE or in progress towards CPA designation.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public practice.
- Interest in leadership and staff development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Caseware, Profile, Sage 300, Sage 50, and QuickBooks is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong client service orientation with an understanding of client business needs.
- Dedication to achieving high standards in client service and professional responsibilities.
