Position Overview

The role of a Diesel Mechanic Helper involves supporting skilled tradespeople in various mechanical tasks related to heavy machinery. This position is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and safety on work sites.

Educational Requirements
  • No formal education, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Primarily outdoors
  • May involve confined spaces
  • Exposure to noisy and dusty conditions
  • Work in hot and wet/damp environments
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in moving tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Support surveying activities by holding stakes.
  • Communicate safety protocols to colleagues and the public.
  • Provide assistance to tradespersons, apprentices, and other team members as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding work areas.
Experience and Skills
