We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Teacher to join our team at West Vancouver Secondary School.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and social support to students with diverse learning needs, promoting inclusive and accessible learning environments, and collaborating with teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans to support students with diverse learning needs
- Provide academic and social support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, workshops, and one-on-one sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement inclusive and accessible learning environments
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support and services
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in learning support and inclusive education
- BC Teaching Certificate or equivalent
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
