About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Dover Auto Centre Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of vehicle performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport trucks and automotive systems to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Parts Replacement and Adjustment: Replace and adjust parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Estimate and Provide Quotes: Estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and provide quotes to customers.
  • Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform scheduled maintenance services on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Conditions: Hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
