Patient Care Support Specialist

As a Personal Care Aide at Lotus Integrative Health Incorporated, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate support to patients in a healthcare setting. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide meal assistance, including serving food and feeding patients as necessary.
- Support patients with mobility by lifting, turning, and positioning them safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and bedding.
- Oversee and encourage patients in their exercise routines.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers as required.
- Respond promptly to patient call signals to address their needs.
- Administer first aid in emergency situations when necessary.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Engagement in repetitive tasks that require physical stamina.
- Attention to detail is essential in all aspects of care.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Strong client focus and commitment to patient care.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Dependability and reliability in fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Assistance for newcomers and refugees in recognizing foreign credentials.
