Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a culinary role is preferred.
The position is based in a fast-paced restaurant and bar setting, where attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
- Accommodate customers with specific dietary needs, including allergies and intolerances.
- Prepare specialized meals for patients as directed by dietitians or chefs.
- Conduct inspections of kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation and handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate inventory and records of food supplies and equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
- Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Dependable and reliable team player.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Flexible and able to take initiative.
- Good judgment and attention to detail.
This is a permanent position requiring 35 to 40 hours of work per week, primarily in English.
