Job Title: Forklift Operator

Drake International is seeking a certified and experienced forklift operator to join our team in Brampton. As a forklift operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a propane and electric counterbalance forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a propane and electric counterbalance forklift in accordance with instructions provided
  • Ensure safety measures are always followed while operating manual and mechanical functions
  • Loading of materials and merchandise onto trailers
  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
  • Perform general labor duties where necessary
  • Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience operating a propane and electric counterbalance forklift
  • Valid certification to operate a forklift - propane and electric counterbalance
  • Experience in loading materials and merchandise onto trailers
  • Experience using material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
  • High school diploma
  • Clear criminal record check
