Critical Care Paramedic Job Description

At Ornge, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Paramedic to join our team. As a Critical Care Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in critical condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and Treat Patients: Assess the extent of injuries or illness of trauma victims to determine emergency medical treatment and administer pre-hospital emergency care.
  • Transport Patients: Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care.
  • Document and Record: Document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided.
  • Maintain Equipment: Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and values and ethics.
What We Offer:
  • Permanent Position: This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
