Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen assistants to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory and supply decisions.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on kitchen operations and performance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and service.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will also be required to work in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
