Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute child-care programs that foster the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children.
  • Support early childhood educators in implementing programs aimed at enhancing children's development.
  • Lead engaging activities, including storytelling, singing, and excursions to local attractions.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Encourage creativity through various mediums such as art, music, and dramatic play.
  • Guide children in developing healthy habits related to eating, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Prepare snacks and organize spaces for meal and rest times.
  • Monitor children for any signs of learning or behavioral challenges and communicate findings to parents or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and challenges.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of children.
  • Plan and oversee activities for school-age children during before and after school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other educators and assistants.
Qualifications
  • Must be a member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
