Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH). As a member of our High Acuity Response Team (H.A.R.T.), you will provide mobile critical care to patients in rural areas, collaborating with clinicians to stabilize patients and transport them to higher levels of care when necessary.

About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time (0.70 FTE) position that offers a dynamic and expanding environment, with recent upgrades to Emergency and Surgical Services and Community Respiratory Therapy Programs. You will have opportunities to grow and solidify your respiratory therapy skills, with a RT Educator providing tailored mentorship opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide mobile critical care to patients in rural areas as part of the H.A.R.T. team
  • Collaborate with clinicians to stabilize patients and transport them to higher levels of care when necessary
  • Support patient care at the base hospital when not on transport
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current certification with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and eligible for registration with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT) and CSRT
  • Recent acute/critical care experience
  • Current valid Driver's License
