Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Specialist to provide nurturing and educational support to children in a home environment. This role is essential in fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere for children to thrive.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement discipline strategies in accordance with family guidelines
  • Educate children on personal hygiene and social interaction
  • Maintain comprehensive records of daily activities and health
  • Ensure a secure and healthy living space
  • Plan and facilitate recreational activities
  • Prepare and serve balanced meals
  • Supervise and respond to children's needs
  • Transport children to educational institutions and appointments
  • Assist children with academic tasks
Community Engagement
  • Participate in programs supporting newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous peoples, and visible minorities
