Teaching Opportunity in a Unique Setting

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to join our team as a Kindergarten Class Teacher in a rural forest and farm setting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Waldorf education and a passion for working with young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of our students
  • Build strong relationships with parents, faculty, and staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Participate in outdoor programming and activities that promote a love for nature and the outdoors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve school goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Waldorf Kindergarten program
  • Waldorf Teaching certificate or certification under the BC Teachers Regulation Branch
  • Ability to work in a rural forest and farm setting, walking daily on uneven terrain
  • Completion of, or enrollment in, an AWSNA/WECAN approved Waldorf Early Childhood Educator Training program
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current first aid certification
