As a Dispatch Logistician at J&R TRANSPORT INC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation processes. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Coordinate activities across various departments to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to management.
- Organize maintenance and repair schedules for equipment.
- Maintain accurate work records and logs to ensure accountability.
- Address work-related issues, offering technical guidance and suggesting improvements for productivity and quality.
- Oversee recruitment and hiring processes for new staff.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees on their roles and company policies.
- Assign and review tasks to ensure alignment with operational goals.
- Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support logistics operations.
- Dispatch personnel according to established schedules and work orders.
- Utilize dispatching equipment to communicate instructions and coordinate vehicle operators and crews.
- Document mileage, fuel consumption, repairs, and other operational expenses.
- Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize workflow.
- Plan, organize, and oversee the logistical operations of the organization.
Supervise a team of 5-10 individuals, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.
Technical Skills- Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Fast-paced work environment with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work setting.
- Highly organized and reliable.
