Position Overview

Job Title: QA Technician/CMM Programmer/Operator

Location: Brampton, ON (On-Site)

Shift: Afternoons (2:00pm – 10:30pm)

Role Summary: The Quality Assurance Technician is essential in upholding product excellence and collaborating with various teams within the manufacturing setting. This role involves overseeing and ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks across multiple production stages, executing inspections, instituting quality management protocols, and promoting ongoing enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • At least 3 years of extensive experience with CMM, including proficiency in PC-DMIS software and Quality Control practices.
  • Capability to develop CMM Programs utilizing PC-DMIS software.
  • Conduct inspections of products using CMM in alignment with established quality system protocols.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprint drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Tolerances (GD&T).
  • Skilled in maintaining clear, thorough, and accurate records of First Article Inspection.
  • Inspect precision components and assemblies according to drawings and specifications using various tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraph, hardness tester, plug gauges, pin gauges).
  • Execute New Part Validation, PPAP, and Revalidation processes.
  • Experience with CNC machining processes.
  • Document and discuss nonconforming materials with relevant parties and implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct internal audits of control plans and ensure process compliance.
  • Engage in Problem Solving & Resolution, Kaizen events, and 5S initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Solid working knowledge of ANSI, ASME, and ASTM standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Support the Quality Manager/Supervisor in various projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

This role necessitates collaboration within a team comprising machinists, inspectors, engineers, supervisors, and managers to optimize costs and lead times by developing CMM programs that minimize inspection durations and yield precise measurement results during the first article process, AQL inspection, and lean manufacturing support.

Compensation: $29 – 35/hr
