The Role:
Motion is seeking a skilled and compassionate Technician to join its team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mobility equipment, providing exceptional customer service, and working with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mobility equipment: The Technician will assess issues with manual and power devices, troubleshoot batteries and functionality, and repair equipment to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Deliver exceptional customer service: The Technician will prioritize an empathic, respectful, and friendly customer experience, ensuring that clients' needs are met and that Motion meets its objective to make life accessible for everyone.
- Travel and adaptability: The Technician will work 8-hour shifts and travel to clients' homes and community facilities, adapting their daily schedule to meet the changing needs of clients.
Requirements:
- Technical skills: The Technician will have previous experience in customer service and assembling or repairing equipment, exposure to using diagnostic tools and power equipment, and a genuine enjoyment of learning new tools and approaches to solving tactical challenges.
- Empathy and communication skills: The Technician will be able to navigate any situation in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner, prioritizing the comfort and urgency of clients and managing conflict and responsive patience to client demands.
- Additional requirements: The Technician will have a valid G-class driver's license and a clean driving record, be provided with a company vehicle, and travel regularly throughout the region.
