Our Automation & Digitalization division is in search of a Senior Control Systems Engineer who excels in the design, development, and execution of control systems tailored for industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead control systems initiatives from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and financial plans.
  • Design and construct control systems, encompassing both hardware and software elements, to fulfill the unique demands of each project.
  • Formulate and apply control algorithms and logic.
  • Seamlessly integrate control systems with both existing and new machinery or processes.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, design blueprints, user guides, and maintenance protocols.

Project Management:

  • Develop and sustain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations, including overseeing the procurement of essential equipment and materials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success metrics, identifying potential opportunities for enhanced automation and electrification.
  • Manage project risks and challenges, devising contingency strategies and communicating progress to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to promote effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders and senior management, including presentations of project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technologists.
  • Ensure adherence to the Andritz Quality System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering with a specialization in automation and electrification technologies.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering; experience in consulting engineering is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation and electrification technologies, including familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
