Job Title: Highway Snow Removal Equipment Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Snow Removal Equipment Operator to join our team at Emcon Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various snow removal equipment, including snowplows, salt trucks, and sanding trucks, to ensure safe and efficient winter road maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain snow removal equipment, including snowplows, salt trucks, and sanding trucks
  • Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment regularly
  • Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards
  • Work in a team environment to achieve winter road maintenance goals
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • AZ class license and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and under pressure
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a cold, noisy, and wet/damp environment, with occasional exposure to odours and hot temperatures.
