Position Summary

The Pharmacy Operations Support Specialist - Data Entry plays a vital role in supporting pharmacy locations in British Columbia and Western Canada. This non-regulated position requires a strong understanding of Kroll, long-term care pharmacy practices, and data entry procedures. The role may involve travel to pharmacies for specific support activities.

Compensation: $24.00 per hour plus applicable premium

The actual pay rate will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and experience.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry Support:
    • Create new resident profiles.
    • Complete batch and routine billing activities.
    • Enter new prescriptions and medication changes accurately.
    • Process continuation of therapy prescription entries.
  • Pharmacy Site Support:
    • Travel to pharmacies as needed to perform non-regulated pharmacy tasks.
    • These tasks may vary by province but typically include prescription labeling, repackaging support, data entry, and assisting with phone calls.
    • Provide support for other designated activities.
  • Project Support:
    • Assist with pharmacy-specific and regional projects in a non-regulated capacity.
    • Activities may include data entry, updating files, ensuring data quality within pharmacy management software, or supporting data entry process changes requiring updates to resident profiles.

Attributes, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a data entry role.
  • Strong understanding of Kroll software and long-term care pharmacy procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
