Position Overview

Acre Post Production is seeking a skilled Film Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in video editing and a keen eye for detail.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Work Environment

This role is primarily focused on video production, offering the flexibility of remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance in the interpretation and execution of performances.
  • Organize film segments into coherent sequences to ensure continuity and achieve desired visual effects.
  • Manage production scheduling effectively.
  • Edit motion picture film in alignment with the director's artistic vision.
  • Ensure that all details adhere to the project's original intent.
  • Evaluate the project's success post-release.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the artistic components of production.
  • Make decisions regarding lighting, camera angles, lenses, and backgrounds.
Production Experience

Candidate should have a minimum of 20 productions credited to their name.

Focus Areas
  • Expertise in both preproduction and postproduction direction.
Media Types
  • Experience in advertising or communications media.
  • Proficient in video editing.
Work Conditions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
Experience Level

Minimum of 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience required.
