About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Service Technician to join our team at Spar-Marathon Roofing Supplies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and inspections of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose mechanical issues with truck systems, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty parts and components, ensuring all work is done to manufacturer specifications.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on repaired systems to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reports and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting heavy equipment.
