Lead Process Engineering Specialist Role at Inter Pipeline
The Lead Process Engineering Specialist at Inter Pipeline will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring safety standards at the facility. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, this position focuses on delivering expert technical support, resolving operational challenges, and crafting innovative solutions for both operational and capital enhancement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary technical advisor for Operations, Maintenance, and various Technical Services teams.
- Independently execute process engineering assignments with precision.
- Analyze plant process data to identify and implement effective modifications.
- Contribute expertise to Process Safety initiatives, ensuring compliance and safety protocols are met.
- Formulate a comprehensive 5-year capital improvement strategy for the facility.
- Lead project initiatives and conduct thorough incident investigations.
- Engage in safety culture development and compliance evaluations.
- Enhance knowledge of plant processes and contribute to ongoing education at the site.
- Establish oneself as a recognized authority in plant process engineering over time.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, with over 15 years of relevant industry experience. Registration or eligibility for registration as a P.Eng. is required, along with a robust understanding of petrochemical processes. Proficiency in process engineering software and a proven history in process engineering and plant operations within an industrial context are essential.
