Role Responsibilities:
The Marine Engineer will oversee the safe operation and upkeep of the engines, generators, engine room, and all associated compartments, ensuring the overall maintenance of the vessel. Additionally, the Engineer will assist with the loading and unloading of passengers.

Key Duties:
- Deliver outstanding hospitality to guests and colleagues, adhering to our service principles
- Ensure the safety of passengers and the vessel by following established safety protocols
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of machinery, restrooms, and the overall condition of the vessel
- Manage machinery and plumbing repairs as needed
- Regularly monitor battery levels, fluid levels, and maintain cleanliness of strainers
- Keep the engine room organized and safe, reporting any concerns to the Captain
- Document all observations in the Engineer Logbook and communicate any changes to the Captain
- Participate in emergency drills and routine inspections
- Assist with deck maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Perform restroom servicing and waste disposal
- Comply with uniform and grooming standards
Qualifications:
- Relevant educational background recognized by the appropriate authorities
- Certification in Marine Emergency Duties
- Transport Canada SVMO Certificate or higher Motor Certificate of Competency
- Valid passport required
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Energetic and enthusiastic demeanor
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work during holidays
