Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of menu items, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive and welcoming work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to order, following standardized recipes and procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, including mise en place, and ensure that all ingredients are stored and rotated properly.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Receive and store inventory, labeling and dating items as required.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with menu changes, promotions, and other relevant information, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed, including attending meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary education an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience, with a strong background in food preparation and presentation.
- Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset.
- Food Safety Certification.
- Ability to obtain a Gaming License.
- POS and cash handling experience (if necessary).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
