We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of menu items, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive and welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items to order, following standardized recipes and procedures.
  • Assist with food preparation, including mise en place, and ensure that all ingredients are stored and rotated properly.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Receive and store inventory, labeling and dating items as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with menu changes, promotions, and other relevant information, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed, including attending meetings and training sessions as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary education an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience, with a strong background in food preparation and presentation.
  • Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset.
  • Food Safety Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming License.
  • POS and cash handling experience (if necessary).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
