Role Overview:

The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances. This role involves:

  • Collaborating with a partner in a two-person driving team or convoy
  • Loading and unloading freight
  • Operating both straight and articulated trucks for the delivery of goods
  • Monitoring vehicle condition and conducting inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and other essential equipment
  • Executing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while managing all vehicle-related tasks
  • Carrying out routine maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability
  • Communicating effectively with central dispatch regarding route and cargo updates
  • Documenting cargo details, service hours, distance covered, and fuel usage
  • Securing cargo with tarps and ensuring its safety during transport
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Class 1/1F/A License for semi-trailer trucks
  • Experience in long-haul transportation
