Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and sustain innovative web-based applications using PHP.
  • Leverage backend data services and contribute to the enhancement of existing data services APIs.
  • Engage in the entire web application development lifecycle, from initial concept through to delivery and ongoing support.
  • Create efficient, testable, and reusable PHP components.
  • Tackle complex performance issues and architectural challenges.
  • Produce clean code while adhering to established coding standards.
  • Document the development process, architecture, and standard components effectively.
  • Debug existing code and perform refactoring as needed, participating in root cause analysis.
  • Conduct unit testing for the features developed.
  • Actively participate in all agile ceremonies and foster a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in PHP development.
  • Proficient in web development technologies including CSS, HTML, PHP5, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Exceptional coding abilities with strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, Ajax, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, XML, Restful API programming, and debugging.
  • Experience with MVC frameworks such as Codeigniter, CakePHP, Laravel, Zend, Symfony, Yii, etc.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and their query languages, including profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Strong foundation in computer science principles: data structures, algorithms, and internet security.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues independently.
  • Creative and efficient in problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with Magento 1 or 2 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps processes and practices.
