Part-Time Elementary Education Instructor Needed

Are you enthusiastic about engaging young minds? Do you have a knack for making learning enjoyable for elementary students across various subjects?

We are looking for dedicated part-time educators to join our learning center. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for teaching language arts and social studies, and who are committed to fostering academic growth in young learners.

As an instructor, you will not need to prepare lesson plans, as all instructional materials are provided. Comprehensive training in our unique educational philosophy and methodologies will be provided to all selected candidates.

Position Requirements:

All instructors are expected to work during after-school hours, typically from Monday to Thursday (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM). A commitment through the academic term is preferred, with opportunities for summer engagement. Reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

This is an in-person role, and candidates must be able to commute to the learning center. Background checks are required.

We encourage applicants who meet the following qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth-year university students with substantial tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification is a plus
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 9

Experience:

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring at the Kindergarten to Grade 9 level
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to enhance students' comprehension
  • Ability to manage multiple students simultaneously

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will serve as an Interactive Coach with the following duties:

  • Instructing up to three students at varying levels
  • Utilizing both online and in-person teaching methods
  • Adhering to our established educational practices
  • Documenting post-lesson reflections
  • Providing daily updates on student progress
  • Maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor at all times
