Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity at Alberta Health Services to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care in accordance with clinical policies and standards.
  • Perform a variety of nursing-related duties, including medication administration and IV starts.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams to provide safe and quality patient care.
  • Participate in patient planning processes and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an emergency/acute care setting within the last 2 years.
  • Connect Care experience is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-basic study program completion in medication administration, IV starts, or other relevant areas.
