About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Daniel Jensen. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient stockroom management.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and addressing customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Merchandising: Order merchandise, manage visual displays, and maintain store appearance to meet company standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve issues that may arise, including supply shortages, customer requests, and employee conflicts.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Support for Youths: Participate in initiatives that support youth employment, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in programs that support Indigenous people, promoting cultural awareness and understanding.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Participate in initiatives that support mature workers, recognizing the value of experience and expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
