About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Apex Concepts Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a sturdy and secure installation.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs, using hand and power tools to ensure precise and accurate installation.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Work Environment

This role will involve working in various commercial, institutional, remote location, and residential settings, requiring adaptability and flexibility.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
