Job Summary:

The Beneficiary Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort, well-being, and safety of our residents. This includes providing hygiene and comfort care, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, and comfort care.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and other physical needs.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a care setting, preferably in a retirement home or long-term care facility.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of retirement home operations and regulations.
  • Current CPR/AED certification and PDSB training.
