We are collaborating with a prominent global supplier of steel reinforcement to assist in their search for a Business Development Representative in Vancouver, Canada.
Position Overview:
This role is crucial for supporting the ongoing growth and expansion of our client's brand and their international clientele. The successful candidate will work closely with the fabrication facility located in Calgary and will require travel between Alberta and Vancouver. Training will also be conducted at the European headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and investigate growth opportunities for both current and prospective clients.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate with international teams to inform clients and prospects about product offerings.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and sales presentations to clients and prospects.
- Track sales activities, progress, and report on goals using CRM systems.
- Develop and implement strategies that address business challenges while delivering value to clients and the organization.
- Participate in trade shows and networking events, assisting with marketing materials and communications.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including project managers and engineers, as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Relevant post-secondary education is an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- A valid passport is required.
- Clear RCMP criminal record check is mandatory.
Experience:
- 7-10+ years of experience in sales and business development is essential.
- Prior experience with stainless steel reinforcement is required.
- Experience in the construction or concrete industry is advantageous.
- Experience in maritime environments is a significant asset.
Skills:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an international team.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and reporting capabilities.
- Intermediate computer literacy is necessary.
- Strong decision-making and time-management skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in a self-directed work environment.
- Articulate with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation:
Base Salary: $85,000 – $95,000, including base salary plus bonuses.
Work Hours:
40 hours per week.
Remote Work:
This position is remote with regular travel required, including both local and international travel.
Additional Information:
- This opportunity does not include relocation assistance; candidates are responsible for their own relocation if necessary.
