Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute mechanical engineering tasks related to CANDU Reactor Components.
- Engage in design processes that encompass the formulation of design specifications, technical calculations, and the creation of design documentation and reports.
- Implement modifications to existing component designs as necessary.
- Ensure design activities comply with nuclear codes, standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Assist in resolving technical issues raised by utility clients regarding reactor and reactivity control systems.
- Contribute to the preparation of responses to client inquiries.
- Evaluate calculations, design assessments, and documentation to support design verification.
- Conduct site visits and assignments to facilitate installation or troubleshooting of reactor components.
- Lead the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases for reactor components throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and validate calculations, design assessments, and related documentation for design verification.
- Supervise junior engineers and engineering trainees, as well as drafting personnel.
- Work primarily within the mechanical engineering domain while possessing a fundamental understanding of related engineering fields.

- A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficient in the application of GD&T principles.
- Experience with classical stress analysis.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Mathcad, or similar software for performing calculations.
- Familiarity with nuclear ASME Code and CSA Standards.
- Understanding of the design process and basic scheduling knowledge to support project timelines.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a proven track record of meeting budgetary and scheduling expectations.
