Solutions Engineer, Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer to join our team at PET VALU. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and optimizing our distribution center operations.
Key Responsibilities- Warehouse Automation and Optimization: Design and implement warehouse automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Supply Chain Expertise: Develop and implement Labour Management Systems, and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in WMS, ERP, TMS, YMS, and WCS systems, as well as experience with Manhattan Active WM and Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Lead industrial engineering efforts, work with teams, and train and mentor associates at different levels.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyze operations and financial data to develop business cases, KPIs, and forecasts.
- Travel and Flexibility: Travel to distribution centers in GTA and out of province, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience in a distribution or warehousing environment, and 3-5 years' technical experience working with supply chain products/systems.
- Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Visio, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a warehouse and office environment, and travel up to 25% of the time.
