Position Summary:

The Bilingual Cross Referencing Specialist will be responsible for completing cross-reference product requests submitted to the Technical Product Support team by the sales organization. This team member will also be a key subject matter expert on any cross-reference related continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review external product crossing lists entered by Sales/Customer Support and ensure necessary details are provided.
  • Review completion deadlines requested for external product crosses and communicate any challenges with expected deadlines as needed to the Cross Referencing Manager.
  • Review competitor/manufacturer parts submitted by the sales team and determine the best internal product to offer the customer to replace the previous item.
  • Identify and capture the match type and part numbers of the suggested items.
  • Document/communicate any key variances between the original and suggested items to sales team.
  • Review and report website description or specification errors or omissions to Category Support Team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree / college diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 1+ 3 years of mechanic, or parts management, or customer service, or field service, database maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must be fluently bilingual in both English and French, written and spoken.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Some technical background is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the parts industry.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
