The Role

As a registered architect with the AAA or an Intern Architect working towards registration in Canada, you will play a pivotal role in project delivery. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing leadership and mentorship to project teams, overseeing work allocation, timesheets, project budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborating with the project team to develop solutions for technical and design challenges.
  • Liaising with clients throughout various project phases to ensure their satisfaction and manage expectations.
  • Preparing client presentations and effectively communicating design concepts and drawings.
  • Integrating sustainable design principles into projects.
  • Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Writing reports, memos, and correspondence to consultants and vendors regarding changes and resolutions.
  • Reviewing completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy and coordination.
  • Participating in team meetings to address project issues, coordinate with other disciplines, ensure schedule adherence, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Contributing to project reviews and providing valuable insights.
  • Communicating clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing, ensuring effective client interaction.
  • Leading staff reviews and fostering professional development within the team.
Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • 5-12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • A diverse portfolio showcasing your project experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience leading teams and providing mentorship.
  • Exceptional design skills, creativity, and the ability to navigate complex design challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent client liaison skills; prior business development experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Revit and a strong sense of design aesthetics.
  • A dedicated work ethic and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
