Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, listing, and coordinating fire protection systems for a variety of projects. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and designers to ensure that all projects meet the required safety codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, list, and coordinate fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and suppression systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using industry-standard software such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather information for design purposes.
  • Review and analyze fire protection codes and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in fire protection design, preferably with a fire protection contractor.
  • NICET certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Revit.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards (NFPA).
