About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Open Pit Mining Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and construction of open pit mining projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of engineering designs and plans for open pit mining projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in open pit mining engineering, with a focus on design and construction
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering designs and plans
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
