Martial Arts Instructor Opportunity at BBWTKD Burlington

We are seeking a skilled Martial Arts Instructor to join our team at BBWTKD Burlington. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality martial arts instruction to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Instruction: Demonstrate and instruct martial arts techniques, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for our students.
  • Group and Individual Instruction: Instruct groups and individuals in martial arts, adapting your teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Event Coordination: Assist with the coordination of martial arts events, ensuring smooth execution and a positive experience for participants.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair martial arts equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition for our students.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare reports and perform administrative tasks as required.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness to create a welcoming environment for our students.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, helping them to integrate into our community.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting their growth and development.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Requirements: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in martial arts instruction or a related field. English language proficiency is required.
