Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our team at BioIntelligence Technologies.

In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our network infrastructure, managing internal devices, and supporting their evolution.

Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring for threats, responding to incidents, and implementing robust security policies.

You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the secure deployment of our services, contributing to our mission of fostering sustainable development in the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network architecture, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
  • Manage internal devices, including deploying new devices and supporting device evolution, ensuring they meet security standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Perform regular network security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
  • Configure and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and software teams to ensure secure deployment and scalability of network services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues, ensuring minimal downtime and secure data transmission.
  • Stay updated with emerging network security technologies and best practices to ensure proactive defense.
  • Implement security policies and procedures to maintain compliance with legal regulations (ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, etc.).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in network engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in network security or related roles.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing network security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.).
  • Proficiency in managing internal devices such as servers and workstations, including deploying new devices and supporting device evolution.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, threat analysis, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CCNP Security, CISSP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment
  • This is primarily a remote role based in Quebec. The successful candidate will work from home, with the requirement to visit our Sherbrooke office occasionally as required.
