Position Overview:
The Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto is seeking a full-time faculty member for a clinical role specializing in Breast Imaging. The successful applicant will be appointed at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor, depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will engage in clinical practice across various modalities within the Breast Imaging specialty, which includes:
- Mammography
- Digital breast tomosynthesis
- Breast ultrasound
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Image-guided procedures such as ultrasound, MRI, and stereotactic biopsies
In addition to clinical duties, the appointee will:
- Supervise and mentor residents and clinical fellows
- Participate in educational activities including journal clubs and rounds
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons and oncologists
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an MD or equivalent degree and be certified or eligible for certification in Diagnostic Radiology. Fellowship training in Breast Imaging is required, along with eligibility for medical licensure. Strong clinical skills and a robust academic background in research and education are essential.
