About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to obtain within six months
  • Proven experience working with pediatric patients and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
