Job Title: Hotel Managing Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at BEST WESTERN PLUS PARRY SOUND. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff are motivated and productive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Reporting and Problem-Solving: Prepare and submit reports, and resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Client Support: Assist clients/guests with special needs and provide a welcoming work environment.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
Support for Diverse Groups:
  • Persons with Disabilities: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees, provide foreign credential recognition, and offer mentorship programs.
  • Youth: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide awareness training to employees.
  • Veterans: Offer workshops, counselling services, or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
  • Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees.
  • Mature Workers: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, provide awareness training, and offer phased retirement options.
  • Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and provide diversity and cross-cultural training.
