Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of a balanced literacy program, clearly defined assessment beliefs, and the ability to integrate Biblical values into all subject matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, and audio-visual presentations provided by the classroom teacher.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff as a member of a professional learning community.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Adhere to the GCA Statement of Faith and demonstrate a vibrant Christian faith.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education
  • AB Interim Certificate, AB Letter of Authority, or AB Permanent Certificate
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of brain-based learning strategies
