About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Royal Canadian Steel. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machine tools and equipment to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce precision parts and components.
  • Tolerance and Dimensioning: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts, and measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments, and repair machine tools and parts.
  • Production Planning: Set up and adjust production machinery/tools, and fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
